An older pool needs more than a new surface. We probe for cracks, leaks, and shell movement, then repair or rebuild the gunite and bring plumbing and safety barriers up to current Florida Building Code. Every finish and fixture we install rides on that structure.
We strip the old interior down to sound gunite and apply plaster, quartz, or pebble finishes rated for Florida sun and salt systems. We replace waterline tile and coping in the same pass, sealing the bond beam and leaving an edge that stays cool underfoot.
Salt air and year-round run times are hard on pool equipment. We swap single-speed pumps for variable-speed units, upgrade filters, heaters, and salt cells, and replace incandescent fixtures with low-voltage LED. New wiring lands on GFCI-protected circuits bonded to the deck grid, as code requires.
A renovated pool beside a cracked, slick deck still looks tired. We resurface decks with textured, UV-stable coatings or pavers that stay walkable in South Florida heat, and we tie a new or remodeled spa into the pool so both share one plumbing and heating system.
